About the Image
The Rebirth Brass Band was formed in 1983 by the Frazier brothers and trumpeter Kermit Ruffins as a French Quarter street band. Their music combines traditional New Orleans brass with funk, jazz, soul, and hip-hop. The band has a long-standing tradition of playing at the Maple Leaf Bar on Oak Street every Tuesday night.
